Chief Design Engineer (Barrage) - Asia

Lead the design team and controls the design section of a barrage.

Assists the Project Manager in reviewing & giving approval of all proposals and designs submitted by the Contractors for temporary works, electrical & mechanical equipment and permanent works if needed.

Responsible for Design review regarding any query from site or any other position, preparation and issuance of construction drawing reviews.

Responsible for checking of shop drawings prepared by the Contractor.

Responsible for checking of As-Built Drawings prepared by the Contractor and any other duty/assignment the Project Manager may entrust.

Quality, professionalism, technical innovation and excellence,

Project delivery to meet client’s Terms of Reference (TOR),

Reporting to meet project and internal requirements

M.Sc Civil Eng or equivalent with basic degree of B.Sc. Civil Eng degree/higher degree from accredited university/college,

General / Overall experience 20 Years and Minimum 15years of practical experience in Barrage / Hydraulic Structural design

Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment,

Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment

Specific Experience:

Design of Hydraulic structure of barrages

Ability to deliver project terms of reference (TOR) without over servicing,

Ability to meet project deadlines,

Maintain a consistent high quality of work
