Gates Specialist (Design Phase - Barrage) - Asia

CA Global: Engineering and Construction (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Gates Specialist (Design Phase - Barrage). The project will be based in South Asia

Duties and Responsibilities

To contribute its expertise for a successful implementation of the project.

Review the gate system design carried out by the consultants designer and relevant drawings & inform the Project Manager.

Review the design calculations and shop drawings prepared and submitted by the contractor.

Pay periodical visits to site for overseeing the installation and testing processes and brief the Chief Resident Engineer and Project Manager.

Review the testing standards, testing process and results and brief the Chief Resident Engineer and Project Manager.

Advise and render any relevant assistance that is required by the Project Manager.

Oversee the automation network installation and testing.

Quality, professionalism, technical innovation and excellence,

Project delivery to meet client’s Terms of Reference (TOR),

Reporting to meet project and internal requirements

Requirements:

M.Sc. Mechanical Eng or equivalent with B.Sc. Mech Eng degree/higher degree from accredited university/college,

General / Overall experience 25 years and Minimum 10years of practical experience in Design and Installation of Gates system for Barrages / Hydraulic Structure

Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment,

Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment

Ability to deliver project terms of reference (TOR) without over servicing,

Ability to meet project deadlines,

Maintain a consistent high quality of work
