Production Mine Engineer (Underground)

PRODUCTION MINE ENGINEER (UNDERGROUND)

My client in the Middle East is looking for a production mine engineer for their current mining operations.

Purpose of the position

·          Underground backfilling focusing on quality and quantity control,

·          Ventilation and Production Engineering Duties

Key Responsibility Areas

·         Produce the weekly/monthly development and production schedules

·         Undertake blast design/scheduling/optimization/ mine planning, design and evaluation work

·          Train and mentor junior and graduate engineers

·         Liaise closely with geological, geotechnical, survey and mining contractor functions

·          Monitor Longhole stoping areas on a daily basis

·         Manage and monitor the progress of Longhole drilling and blasting activities

·          Validate daily production records for Longhole stoping

·          Compile weekly and monthly reports

·          Carry out special stope analysis work as required

·          Maintain site safety standards throughout projects

·          Training of Saudi Mining Engineers

Key Requirements

·         Tertiary Degree in Engineering

·         3-4 years post-graduate experience in underground hard rock mining operations

·         1-2 years underground experience as a backfill engineer

·         1-2- years underground experience as a production/ ventilation engineer

·          Experience in Longhole drilling mining methods

·          Experience using mining design packages

·          Good communicator

·          High safety standards

·          Familiarity with Middle Eastern cultures

·         Fluent in English. Spoken and written knowledge of Arabic advantageous
