Our client is an Exploration Drilling contractor specialized in mineral exploration.  


The Position

The Company intends to list on the Toronto Stock Exchange and requires an experienced CFO to primarily manage its finances and all other non-operational functions.  Immediate duties will include assisting auditors in the going public process and making sure that the Company’s accounting systems are TSX and IFRS compliant.  Day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing all company accounting practices, planning and forecasting, financial strategy and reports, tax and audit functions.

The job will be based at the base of operations in Anwia Nkwanta (Ghana) and offer an expatriate package.  This will include a very competitive [negotiable] salary, travel, medical care and accommodation.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant prior experience as an executive or CFO, who has demonstrated competence in IFRS reporting.  Experience with a publicly traded company or natural resources industry will be an added bonus. As Investor Relations will comprise a large part of the job, prior experience in this is essential.
